“Content is king”

We all heard and seen all over the internet that “Content is king”, it sounds obvious, but writing good and interesting blog posts takes time, and also it’s a must these days.

Have you seen the tremendous number of active users lately?

Let me briefly inform you, that according to Statista, there are 4.57 billion active internet users, encompassing 59 percent of the global population.

This is one of the reason why I said that having a good blog posts is a must.

Well-written, well researched and compelling blog posts is what you need to keep your visitors coming back for more.

Whether you’re just started in the blogging field or have been writing for a while, you know how challenging is to rank on search engines. Not that the algorithm is making our life easier.

What do you need in a blog post to match these requirements?

Allow me to introduce to you a list with 10 most important things in a blog post to get more traffic.

1. A Badass Catchy Headline

Did you know that the headline is the first thing that people see in search engines?

Of course you do, there’s no surprise here. But do you know what exactly needs your headline?

Starting with drafts always will be a good idea, because there’s no way to come up with a catchy headline without doing some research.

I always write down at least 10 headlines, I analyze them, and then I decide which one will it be my headline.

It takes up to 3 seconds for a visitor to become or not part of your audience.

I’m here to help, so here are 5 tricks that I learned so far, to implement if you want a catchy headline:

↠ Trick #1 – Use specific numbers and data;

↠ Trick #2 – Use a unique rationale;

↠ Trick #3 – Use brackets and parentheses;

↠ Trick #4 – Call for attention;

↠ Trick #5 – Use emotional words + “YOU”.

Check this post for a in-depth lecture on how to write a blog post.

Besides a catchy headline, you need some emotion-packed words to hook your audience in no-time, or simply Power Words.

2. Power Words

Power words are descriptive words that trigger an emotional response. They’re called “power words” because they are so strong that people clearly can’t resist being influenced by them!

Power words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble.

Here are some power words based on feelings:

Anyhow, I know how difficult is to have fresh ideas on a regular basis, I’m struggling with that too, but guys, the almighty Google has plenty of inspiration out there.

If you have an idea, just type it into Google, you never know what results will pop up.

With that being said, the next thing you need in a blog post is:

3. Visuals

As the name suggests, visuals deliver information visually, obvious!

Did you know that the use of visualized information has increased with 9900% on the internet since 2007?!

9900%!

Here’s what you can use as visuals in blog posts:

Charts – a graphical representation of data, in which “the data is represented by symbols, such as bars in a bar chart, lines in a line chart, or slices in a pie chart.

Statistics – is the discipline that concerns the collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data.

Infographics – are graphic visual representations of information, data, or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly.

Screenshots – also known as ss, sc, screen capture, or screengrab, is a digital image that shows the contents of a computer display.

[source: Wikipedia]

If you’re curious about some dope statistics, here’s why our brain craves infographics.

People love interaction, why not using this aspect in your favor?

By adding images and videos, you will attract more visitors, rather than having just plain text.

Check out this guide on how to embed videos in WordPress.

Good, onto the next one, please.

4. Content Upgrade

It is a simple process of converting your blog posts into a free, bonus content that people can get their hands on it. This is a win-win situation, to get access to a specific content upgrade, your visitors (probably future customers) have to subscribe to your email.

Content Upgrade Ideas:

Blog post turned into a downloadable PDF

Create a step-by-step guide

Case study

Worksheets

Printable

Did you know that Brian Dean – Backlinko added content upgrades to 15 blog posts and boosted his site-wide conversion rate by 185%?

Do you wanna see other great results? Check this tutorial to find out also what plugin (psst it’s also FREE) we recommend for growing an email list.

5. Content Lockers

A Content Locker is a pop-up that cannot be closed unless a user achieves the desired action on your website.

Content Locker is the fastest way to grow your social media traffic and mailing list by locking your WordPress content. Viewers can unlock the content by liking, or sharing on those selected social media account you want.

Don’t overuse content lockers all over your website, it may cause a bad experience for your users. Instead, add them strategically on sections of your website that give the most value.

Content Lockers Plugins based on active installations from the WordPress Plugins Repository:

Contact Form by WPForms – Drag & Drop Form Builder for WordPress ~ 3+ million active installations;

Marketing Toolkit by OptinMonster – Popups, Email Optin Forms & Newsletter Subscribers ~ 1+ million active installations;

Social Sharing for WordPress – Social Share Buttons & Toolkit by Social Snap ~ 10,000+ active installations;

WP Private Content Plus ~ 7,000+ active installations;

Content Locker ~ 1,000+ active installations.

6. F.O.M.O. Effect

Fear Of Missing Out, to be more specific, but I think you already knew that.

What I’m trying to tell you here is that by adding a FOMO effect on your website, simply means to make your audience to crave for your content.

How can you do that?

Well, by adding a CountDown Timer plugin.

What is a CountDown Timer plugin?

A countdown timer plugin lets you display a timer that counts down to a specific time or date.

Why you need one?

Because countdown timers are a great way to:

build anticipation;

excitement;

create a F.O.M.O. effect.

There are 2 groups:

Normal countdown timers (i.e. launch of a website, end of a sale);

Evergreen countdown timers (i.e. limited special offers).

Best CountDown Plugins for WordPress

Countdown Timer Ultimate ~ 20,000+ active installations;

WordPress Countdown Widget ~ 10,000+ active installations;

HurryTimer – An Scarcity and Urgency Countdown Timer for WordPress & WooCommerce ~ 10,000+ active installations;

Countdown, Coming Soon, Maintenance – Countdown & Clock ~ 8,000+ active installations;

Evergreen Countdown Timer ~ 7,000+ active installations.

7. Social Media Presence

Why social media? The only reason would be because 42% of the world’s population is using social media, or because 54% of social browsers use social media to research products!

Solid reason, right?

But guys, hear me up, don’t do it just for the sake of doing it. Going online on social media requires a damn good strategy.

Luckily, my friends from Crisp Clear Concise Co. were nice enough to give us a quote on what branding means, and what strategy to follow.

Branding

Have you seen this logo anywhere?

Pretty vague question, isn’t it? Okay, how about this one below:

Do you recognize this? Again fairly obvious.

So, both of them as we know, have one thing in common, that is both are globally popular brands and undeniably nearly every household has come across them at least once.

Don’t you agree?

The one in the above is best known for manufacturing one of the best selling smartphones in the world and the other for serving the quickest burgers and french fries.

Definition of Branding

So what is meant by branding?

Is it the logo, the name, or the products/services that are offered by the brand? To your surprise, none of them is compensating enough to capture the idea of a brand although they contribute to the brand’s identity to a great extent but still don’t make up for the definition.

Let’s first have a look at the formal definition. As per Kotler & Keller, branding is endowing products and services with the power of a brand. According to Hislop, branding is the process of creating a relationship or a connection between a company’s product and emotional perception of the customer to generate segregation among competition and building loyalty among customers.

Don’t scratch your head.

Let’s simplify that a bit.

So, what comes to your mind when you see a brand? For example, you see an iPhone 11 Pro Max in someone’s hand, and your mind gets filled with thoughts like expensive, robust build quality, secure, its ecosystem, and a premium product.

When Brands become your words

We don’t say “search it” anymore, now we say “Google it“, right?

Get a photocopy or get a Xerox, an adhesive bandage, or simply say Band-Aid; Photoshop it; stitch a Velcro, use a Zipper and the list is endless. And this how the brands become ‘the brand’.

Strategies to build your brand

What you Stand For: Your aspirations, goals, and what you want to deliver and be known for.

Research: The need for your product/service in the market, your target audience, and competitors.

Focus, Personality, and Voice: what kind of service or product you wish to deliver in terms of value and quality, what kind of a message you want to send to your customers and competitors, how does your brand differentiate in respect to your style.

Name, Logo, and Color: Your business name and logo should be easy and a memorable one respectively that reflects your core function, as well as that, resonates with your audience.

Positioning Statement: Tell your audience how your product/service will fulfill the needs of your target audience better than the competitors.

Quick tip: You don’t have any ideas for your brand name? You can try Namelix. I’m sure it will come in handy!

8. Marketing Tools For Non-Tech-Savvy Marketers

Marketing tools are capable of extending your vision towards your public, your audience.

A great reason why you need marketing tools is to save time, it can help you organize your content, being also cost-effective. From case to case.

So let’s see which are those marketing tools to help you out. Each one is practical and user-friendly and requires a minimal learning curve. Many are even free:

Content Creation

Google Drive – When it comes to cloud storage, I think of Google Drive as being the universal platform. Besides docs, you can create slideshows, drawings, spreadsheets, and more;

Grammarly – Everyone is bound to make mistakes when writing. Whether it’s a silly spelling error or poor grammar, it’s impossible to catch everything. But Grammarly will do just that (or pretty darn close to it);

Word Counter – Word count is kind of a big deal if you’re writing long-form content. Word Counter will let me know how many words I’ve written.

Content Ideas:

Google Trends – Google Trends is a great place for getting an idea of what’s popular at the moment in your niche;

BuzzSumo- It’s the perfect tool for generating content ideas, and it provides info such as – how much engagement content receives, links pointing back to the content;

AllTop – Simply type in a search phrase, and hundreds of popular blog posts on that topic will pop up;

Ubersuggest – This one is a bit like the Google Keyword Tool, only simpler. Enter a search term, and Ubersuggest will spit out dozens or even hundreds of ideas.

Remote Work

Trello – It involves a system of boards where you can communicate with colleagues and keep tabs on project progress;

Slack – You can drag and drop your files to share with others, and search your archive any time you need specific information.

Metrics:

Google Analytics – Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic, currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing Platform brand;

ShortURL – ShortURL.at is a free tool to shorten a URL or reduce a link. You can use it to create a shortened link making it easy to remember.

9. Heatmap Plugin

After all that hard work you have been putting into creating your blog posts, now it’s time to measure that efforts.

You know that Google Analytics shows you where did your visitors landed, or what page did they visited the most.

But, there’s a big but in here, reading and translating those numbers can be a bit overwhelming, especially for beginners.

This is why, I present to you a wonder tool, a heatmap plugin called Hotjar.

What is Hotjar?

Hotjar is behavior analytics and user feedback service that helps you understand the behavior of your website users and get their feedback through tools such as heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys.
[Source: Hotjar official website]

To be honest, I’m using it, and I gotta tell you this is by far the most “hottest” plugin ever. I’m loving it.

It shows recording per visitor, how much time did they spent on every visited page, where did they clicked on your site.

Absolutely amazing.

If you aren’t using it by now, go to their website or to WordPress Plugins Repository, or even better, in your WordPress Dashboard-Plugins-Add new.

However, they offer a free plan with limited features, but mark my words, it is worth to try.

10. Pop-up Form

And here we are, down to the last one thing needed on a blog post. A pop-up form.

A pop-up is a small box that appears while browsing a website, been used for advertising, generating leads and even for building an email list.

Over the past few years, pop-up forms have re-emerged as a popular marketing tactic for promoting content, driving blog subscriptions, and fueling lead generation.

Instagram inspires creativity around the world, with over 1 billion+ users and over 500 billion daily active users, and I believe that by now you are aware that your business needs and should be on Instagram, or any other social media channels.

Instagram is 6th most popular social network worldwide.

Since 2017, Instagram lets you upload up to 10 images as 1 swipeable carousel.

They want you to share more of your experience, to share your products, even to tell a story.

These feature gave some marketers the idea instead of looking for one perfect image that says all, to combine more images into a single post.

What a simple idea turned into a trend, turned into a marketing strategy.

Instagram Carousels are so popular, that it’s a known fact that user-generated content has a 4.5% higher conversion rate.

How about that? 🙂

Are you looking to win the “Instagram carousel” game?

Making carousel posts takes time, and it’s not an easy task, especially at the beginning. But with hard work and dedication, I’m sure you will master this.

Instagram Carousel Guidelines

There are few things to consider regarding the design and technical requirements:

max. number of images: 10;

max. number of videos: 2;

image file format: .jpg and .png;

image file dimension: Square – 1080 px X 1080 px; Vertical – 1080px X 1350px;

max. video size: 4GB for up to 1 minute.

Get your ready-to-go Instagram Carousel

Before I present to you my ready-to-go carousel, which by the way, at the end of this post, you’ll have the chance to download it and to use it as you please, I’ll share some tips with you to consider before using it:

Tip 1 | Target audience

You need to be selective with the audience you choose for this kind of posts.

Tip 2 | Tell a story

Telling a story helps you build brand awareness, telling a story can hook your audience.

Tip 3 | Use the whole space

You will need to find ways to use the whole space (keep in mind that we are talking about 10 images, not just one). And yes, there’s a golden rule: ABOUT 20% TEXT.

Are you ready to see that I have to offer? 🙂

Social media platforms are now a great marketing strategy, that can be used to help grow your business, your audience.

It gives you better exposure, which can lead to more visitors, to more conversions. Sometimes we struggle to reach our audience because now text isn’t just enough. No!

You know that saying: “A picture’s worth more than a thousand words?”. It works perfectly with hashtags.

What the dam is a #hashtag?

“A hashtag—is a type of metadata tag used on social networks such. It lets users apply dynamic, user-generated tagging that helps other users easily find messages with a specific theme or content. Users create and use hashtags by placing an octothorpe (also called a number sign, or pound sign)
#
usually in front of a word or unspaced phrase in a message. The hashtag may contain letters, digits, and underscores.”
Wikipedia

This “#” symbol has become an integral part of social media. But not before August 2007, the hashtag has been used in numerous ways around the web when Chris Messina, brought this symbol to Twitter and since then, he is known as the founder of the social media hashtag.

how do you feel about using # (pound) for groups. As in #barcamp [msg]?
— Chris Messina (@chrismessina) August 23, 2007

“Borrowed from Chris’s twitter account”

Chris Messina #hashtagfather

What is # used for?

Hashtags, in some situations, provide a way for the public to express their emotions. However, the hashtag code was cracked and now we can use the symbol on social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and so on.

The purpose of a #hashtag

Usually, the symbol “#” is used to attract attention, to organize and not the last to promote. It is a method of making it easier, fastest for people to find, follow, and to add contributions to a conversation/post.

Think of a hashtag as a part of your engagement strategy, besides images, video, contact form.

Learn here how to make your WordPress website more engaging.

How to #hashtag?

Creating a hashtag can be such a fun and easy thing to do, just put the symbol in front of the words. But, we are not going to talk about the creation of a #, instead, we are going to see some guidelines, some technical requirements, to put in that way:

No spaces allowed

All letters and numbers must be together without spaces, even if it’s a phrase, there can be no spaces between words. You can’t use punctuation, symbols (well, others that #), or numbers by themselves. However, you can use numbers, but you must also add at least one letter.

Start always with the # symbol

To create a #, all you need to do is to add the “#”, followed by letters and maybe sometimes numbers.

You could create even your own hashtags, that you can use it at the end of messages, or why not starting a post with it. You can add it anywhere you wanted, as long as the message makes sense and it’s readable.

If you want to create a hashtag on your own, go ahead. You don’t have to register a hashtag.

Unique, easy to remember and understandable hashtags

You could find yourself thinking you’ve invented a hashtag, there’s one possibility, but first, do quick research on the social media platform you intend to use it on.

Around 25% of the time, the hashtag intended to use is already being used.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing stopping you for using a # already used, however, before you jump into details, make sure your intended # is not the same as an existing username.

One thing’s certain, you must keep hashtags as short as possible, people tend to remember more easily a short and understandable one.

Don’t go chasing big numbers

At first, you are more likely to use the ones with a big audience. BUM – first mistake here. Stay between 5K and 100K, until you’re big enough. Because smaller-volume hashtags are better for your label, you can compete in a smaller yard.

Know your #hashtags

If you include the right hashtags on your posts, you are more likely to see higher engagement than you have thought.

But how can you get to know “your hashtags”?

First of all, start by making a list of words that correspond with your brand. For an efficient hashtag system, you can use Excel, to create a spreadsheet for all your #hashtags. You’ll need to manually keep track of which hashtag you use, which ones correlate to your posts.

Over time, you’ll see certain # intertwine, and this can help you decide which # work best for your business.

Secondly, a kickass idea to generate hashtags is to take a peek at your competitors to see what they’re hashtagging about. This isn’t called “stealing”, I like to call it “to borrow”. Hashtags can’t be properties, you don’t own them, nobody does.

After you’re done with the list, it’s time for testing. Besides the fact that you have to test your #, once in a while also follow your own #. It is a way to find out who’s talking about you.

How many # should I use?

Researchers found that 11 hashtags per post are the optimal number, and you can add up to 30 hashtags on a regular post, as long as your #hashtags are relevant. Nonetheless, start with fewer #, because at this point, you can’t know how many or which ones work for you until you see it (testing, testing, testing).

“Instagram posts that use #hashtags gain a 12.6% increase in engagement.”

Should I repeat the #?

Sometimes, consistency is the key to success, ironically, it’s not working with hashtags the same, and here’s why:

Reason 1 – Spam

Using the same hashtags over and over may trigger a light-bulb to social platforms, assuming you’re not a real person.

Reason 2 – Going down

Repeating the tags so many times, your reach will start to drop and overall, your hashtags will be less effective.

Reason 3 – Machine learning, artificial intelligence

Social media platforms are constantly changing, hence the numerous hackers out there. That’s why some of these platforms are using sophisticated AI and ML to analyze everything you do on their platform.

Hashtag buckets

When you starting out, reach for small tags, as we’ve talked early, and then go for medium and large tags when you get the change.

Extra small

These tags are under 50K, choose maybe 4-5 from this group.

Small

These tags are between 50K and 100K, it is recommended to choose 15 from this group.

Medium

These tags are somewhere between 100K and 1 million, choose 10 from this group.

Large (story only)

These tags are massive with 1 million-plus in size. Use these ones in your stories – around 3 from this group.

Instagram hashtags

Hashtag Tools

It can be time-consuming to hit so many characters when uploading a post in social media, especially since autocorrect stays more in your way, rather than helping you out.

Luckily, there are some tools to cut off this whole process of typing and erasing, all over again. These are the ones that I use and recommend:

All-hashtag – a free website with 4 different hashtags tools (Hashtag Generator, Hashtag Creator, Hashtag Analytics, Top Hashtags) which can help you to search and find the best ones for your content.

Sistrix – Instagram hashtag generator– a website that provides SEO professionals with the best data and tools for search visibility, however, they have also a hashtag generator. The use of this tool is free but you’re limited up to 25 queries a day. Once the limit is reached, a registration will be needed.

Measuring your hashtag strategy

Because it’s all about the data, hashtags can be much more difficult to analyze on your own. This can make it hard to know which are working.

Fortunately, there is still a way to measure your strategy. You can do this with Instagram’s Analitycs (Insights), tab around Activity, Content, and your audience.

Here you can see and evaluate posts impressions to see how many hashtags come from.

Aaaand, we are quite finished, but before we end this article, I want to reveal a secret regarding hashtags on Instagram.

Alt Text – the secret weapon behind Instagram

But first, remember that I talked about Alt Text for images? If you missed that one out, take a peek on what the deuce is alt text. Right, back to our sheep, do you believe me that Instagram has this feature? Did you know about it?

The real question is “Does Instagram Alt Text helps?”

Yes, and here are some 3 major reasons how:

Helps you grow your account using Google;

Expands the content discoverability beyond Instagram;

Sends clues regarding your posts to the Instagram search algorithm.

Alt Text helps Instagram Algorithm understand what is on your photo.

How to add Alt Text on an Instagram post?

You’re done writing your post, you’re done with #hashtags, now before you hit “Share”, go to “Advanced Settings”-“Write Alt Text” and here start describing your photo.

And there you go, Evriika, you should feel ready to go and explore the #power of #hashtags.

#badassarticle
#letshashtag #together in #comments
🙂

The post Hashtags | How to make the most of it? first appeared on WOWLayers: Free WP Templates, Branding & Design Tips to Grow Your Online Business.

Why social media? The main reason would be because 42% of the world’s population is using social media, or because 54% of social browsers use social media to research products.

I’m not even going to ask if you’re serious about your website, blog, that would be a dumb a** rhetorical question. Right? Then you just can’t ignore these common platforms. I know I just can’t. How else can you make yourself noticeable?

“Shout out to the people, you don’t have to just wait for your audience to stumble across you.”

What’s social media?

An online community created by users, where they can share ideas, pieces of information, personal messages, all kinds of content (videos, images, Gifs) and so on. Incredible, isn’t?

There’s no doubt that social media is here to stay, after all, it keeps everyone connected, and more to that, it can be the #1 tool for businesses to market and sell their products.

The reason for this article? To be honest, each of these platforms has different requirements for profile picture, cover images, etc., and I know this can be a bit overwhelming, especially for new users (newbies, no offense 🙂 ).

Solution? I made a list of image sizes for various social media platforms. The goal is to help you manage your social media settings without getting exasperated, distracted or even quitting.

I said it before, I say it now “Where there’s a will, there’s power”, luckily you don’t have to remember these image sizes, because by my nature I’m a giver and I want everybody to be happy. If you’re happy, I’m happy.

Without any reservation, I’m going to stick my neck out there and say that we are all kind of addicted to social media. Correct me if I’m wrong, please. Don’t know if there’s a bad thing or a good thing, but I can say that you can make the most of it.

Have I caught your attention so far? Bear with me, as we’re about to dig deeper to find out more.

Why social media is critical for your business?

First of all, it’s a way of saying “Hello, I’m here too. Now, can I have your attention?). And how we do that? Through words and images, of course.

Social media was and still is an essential part of your business marketing strategy (if it isn’t by now, go big and implement social media in your plan), which provides incredible benefits that help reach millions of customers worldwide.

Did you know that over 90% of all marketers say that social media marketing has increased their business exposure?

At this point, not having an ongoing social media presence is like going with a knife at a gunfight. You always have to remember that out there is someone who is using social media, and without knowing it, that someone can and/or will steal your customers, with no shame.

So, how about that? Do you really need a social media marketing strategy? Oh, yes, yes you do indeed, and here are some compelling reasons why:

It gives you better exposure to your business, which can lead to more traffic, ergo more visitors;

It gives you the opportunity to promote your business easily, in a cost-effective manner;

It can create brand awareness;

Using relevant content will grab the attention of potential customers;

Marketing research – you can conduct surveys and polls to ask people around for their opinion about your products;

The costs to maintain social media are minimal.

The importance of using the right social media image sizes

It is in your best interest to always use the right size for your images, but, you see, social platforms are constantly changing their guidelines when it comes to the display sizes and formats.

However, you’ll need to keep up with these changes, first of all, because if the size is the wrong one, your images won’t be displayed properly, and we sure don’t need an incomprehensive image to represents our brand.

Did you know that people are 65% more likely to remember information if it’s associated with a picture?

The truth is that we tend to skip those posts, stories, etc. if its visual content doesn’t satisfy our eyes. So, if you want to maintain your customers, or even better to gain some possible future customers, you will have to pay attention to all these kinds of changes regarding social media platforms.

What size should images be for social media?

Without any further ado, let’s see the image sizes for these common and most used platforms in 2020:

I would never think that guest posting can be such a “big deal”, but surprisingly it is. It is really impressive, been consider an important part of an influencer marketing strategy, either you allow guest posting on your website or start looking and approaching those blogs that accept it.

Before you make the move, ask yourself what’s the purpose of doing that, set up your guest posting goals, because knowing your goals, basically, you have your first move done, either you want exposure, that can lead more traffic to your website or you just want to build backlinks to you.

What is guest posting, anyway?

Guest posting simply means writing articles for other websites. I know that it doesn’t sound like a “win-win” situation, but it is.

How so? From your point of view, you can reach a new audience who’ve never heard of you, and from the publication’s point of view, they get the chance to have new content on their blog that shares assorted insights.

I’m calling this “win-win” situation “Thinking outside the box”.

Do some research before guest posting

Keep in mind, first, that ain’t nobody got the time to verify, every single post word by word, any piece of content, so if you are interested in guest posting, my advice for you:

Do your best, by creating amazing content, that the editors can’t refuse it.

To guest posting, you need to find those blogs, who are offering this option, but before you search them, let’s have a look at some things to consider:

Ask yourself why editors want you to submit a post

Well, the main reason is for your fresh ideas, and for the fact that you can really bring a new and unique perspective.

“56% of editors said that they found irrelevant content from guest posting.”

The editor is not your servant

Rather than asking or waiting for editors to clean up your untidy content, submit a post that’s already with final touches, professionally edited.

“71% of editors said that editing the received content can lead to a delay in publishing.”

Read the guidelines

The last thing you need to do, before submitting a post, is to read editors’ guidelines and follow them wisely.

Advantages of guest posting

As I said early, guest posting is a “win-win” situation. Let’s see some of the advantages of guest posting:

Establish authority

By promoting excellently written and authoritative blog posts, a website reaches to establish itself as an authority on the subject, and you, the guest blogger, can benefit from posting on those sites, establishing your authority as a quality writer.

Boost link juice

One of the many criteria for search engines is the quality of links that point towards a website. So the more links you have that point towards your site, the higher the level of ranking via quality backlinks will be.

Branding

Guest posting is a great way of building your own name brand. I can assure you that if you share your ideas with readers who are interested in what you have to offer, it will be just a matter of time and your brand name will stand up in front of others.

Backlink

Creating a guest post account gives you the ability to add a backlink to your website and social profiles as well. To access your profile to add your links simply go here: Your WordPress profile.

Guest post guidelines

Guest post guidelines are the first line of defense against inappropriate, irrelevant, and poorly written content.

And because WE do accept guest posting, I do have some guidelines, that I would appreciate it if you stick to them. Also, I want to remind you our topics:

WordPress tutorials;

PSD freebies (or any other freebies, like mock-ups, flyers, etc;

WordPress themes;

Web templates;

CSS;

PHP;

jQuery code snippets;

SEO;

Digital Marketing;

Social Media Marketing;

And so on, check our Menu to see relevant topics.

Here are our guidelines:

Exclusive original content

Your post must be original and not previously published anywhere else, including your blog/site. (We will verify it);

No commercial allow

Posts should not include any kind of affiliate program/product.

Facts, examples, tips

Because we desire to provide our readers with precious information that they can implement in their business/website, please don’t submit generic posts, the kind of posts that can be found everywhere else across the web, instead give facts, examples, maybe tips&tricks.

Unique, fresh, authentic and relevant to our readers, that the kind of content we are looking for.

Post length

Posts should be between 500-1500 words.

Grammar

Posts must be in good English, readable, no misspellings or whatsoever.

Images

Your post should include images, so please attach some images to your posts (including image credits, if necessary).

Your presence

If you have an outstanding post, your audience will make “noise”, so please respond to comments to your published post.

Ready to start writing? Are you looking to submit your first post? Do you have something interesting and useful to share with us?

Submit a guest post here

Come and join our community, we have “resources” :D.

Why wouldn’t you share it with your friends?

Because “We must learn to live together as brothers or we will perish together as fools” as Martin Luther King said.

The post Write with us | Guest post first appeared on WOWLayers: Free WP Templates, Branding & Design Tips to Grow Your Online Business.
